Kara Ladd-Blum was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare form of cancer, in 2016. After her diagnosis, she became more aware of what she was putting in and on her body and eventually developed a spiritual awakening. She now works with wellness brands as a marketing consultant and has a podcast focused on mindful living.

Ms. Ladd-Blum incorporated her wellness practices into her wedding, meditating and journaling with her husband, Brandon Blum, on the morning of their wedding. They also used healing crystals and tarot cards in the celebration.

Some venues and event planners are catering to couples who prioritize wellness, offering services such as candlelit floating sound baths, acupuncture happy hours, and beach yoga sessions.

Miraval Berkshires Resort and Spa in Massachusetts offers a mindful weddings program, which includes spa treatments, guided meditation, and other wellness activities.

Former cancer patient Kara Ladd-Blum had a solo healing session with her spiritual mentor, Maureen Dodd, on the morning of her wedding.

To prioritize positive energy on her wedding day, Ladd-Blum practiced rituals like listening to love frequencies and getting a lymphatic drainage massage. She also placed her engagement ring and wedding band in a selenite crystal bowl, which has protective properties.

Samantha Cutler and her husband, Trevor Mengel, have incorporated wellness into their relationship and also into their wedding and post-wedding activities. They packed welcome bags for their guests with items like vitamin supplements and a journal.

The couple hosted a wellness day the day after their wedding, which included activities like Pilates, golf, and IVs with electrolytes and vitamins.
