A primary school which had to be evacuated during a serious fire last month said it would open as planned for the new term.
Emergency services were called to Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy in Gorleston, Norfolk, where flames and black smoke were billowing from the building.
No one was hurt, but several fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were needed to bring the fire under control, which broke out on the last day of term.
A spokesperson said “an immense amount of hard work” had taken place to get the school ready for in time for next week.
They added they were “deeply grateful” for work carried out by staff and thanked “parents, carers and our wider community for their overwhelming support”.
They also said the school would be “operating as normal” when it reopens for the new term, which starts next Wednesday.
No one was hurt in the fire on 18 July, which Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said had started by accident in the roof.
