Anna Netrebko, a Russian soprano, was shunned by major opera companies after Russia invaded Ukraine three years ago.
She was accused of supporting President Vladimir V. Putin.
She sued the Metropolitan Opera for discrimination, defamation, and breach of contract, which is still pending.
She returned to some European opera houses, including Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Berlin State Opera, Vienna State Opera, and Paris Opera.
In 2024 and 2025, she will return to Zurich Opera and Royal Opera in London after they welcomed her back amid confirmations she has condemned the war in Ukraine.
She will perform in Verdi’s “La Forza del Destino” in Zurich and in “Tosca” and “Turandot” at the Royal Opera.
A representative for Netrebko said she condemned the war in Ukraine, but refrained from criticizing Putin and her previous support for him.
Palm Beach Opera in Florida hosted her in February.
