Trainspotting was a cult hit in the 90s, and now author Irvine Welsh has written a sequel named Men in Love.
Although he’s written about the characters in the book, which was also a hit film, in the years since, the new novel covers events in the immediate aftermath.
The BBC’s Katie Razzall met up with him in Leith to discuss the inspiration behind his work and the challenges facing modern-day society.
