Jonathan Peter Brooks, a 61-year-old plastic surgeon, has been found guilty of attempted murder more than four years after he stabbed his colleague, Graeme Perks, in a house in Nottinghamshire. Brooks was arrested on the day of the attack and appeared in court four days later, but has repeatedly refused to engage with the trial, even showing up to court in costume or claiming to be ill to delay the proceedings. He has been held at HMP Bedford and HMP Norwich. Judge Pepperall has warned Brooks that he will make arguments before his sentencing hearing of June 3rd over his actions in the trial process.
