A large asteroid, 2024 YR4, whose chances of hitting Earth have been ruled out, is now slightly more likely to hit the Moon than previously thought. The US space agency, Nasa, has changed the likelihood of a Moon impact on 22 December, 2032, from 1.7% to 3.8%. However, there is still a 96.2% chance that the asteroid will miss the Moon. The asteroid is estimated to be between 53-67 meters in size, and Nasa has cut the chance of it hitting Earth to 0.004%.
