A Senate committee is investigating whether a prominent cryptocurrency investor, Dan Morehead, violated federal tax law by moving to Puerto Rico to save hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes. Senator Ron Wyden sent a letter to Morehead, the founder of Pantera Capital, requesting information about $850 million in investment profits he made after moving to Puerto Rico in 2021.
